Obesity – Hunger Is The #1 Diet Enemy

If you’ve been following my work over the past year, then you already know about my concerns regarding the forthcoming 2010 Dietary Guidelines that will tell the American people how they should be eating to be healthy. I was encouraged when my podcast interview guest today was appointed by former President George W. Bush to become the Director of the USDA’s Nutrition Policy And Promotion and especially when they asked for nominations to the 2010 Dietary Guidelines panel. But not surprisingly, there was not a single low-carber named to this panel and the committee has gone on to ignore much of the positive research that has come out about low-carb. Today we hear directly from the director himself in a bit of a tell-all about what is happening with the 2010 Dietary Guidelines panel.
First, I would like to say that if you are fortunate to have a home office, do yourself a favor and buy a knob for the door that has a key lock. You will no longer have to worry about the children getting into the office and destroying anything.
Your body functions in a manner similar to a car assembly plant. At that plant, a steady stream of new parts, the correct parts and parts in the right ratios to each other are absolutely necessary in order to keep that plant open for business and running smoothly.

The use of salt didn’t recede in the recession. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 88% of U.S. children and adults consume more salt daily than federal, dietary guidelines recommend – 2,300 milligrams. The emerging facts on major criteria in nutrisystem shakes. The average intake is 3,513 milligrams – 53% more than the recommendation. Unfortunately, outlawing saltshakers won’t solve the problem. Seventy-five percent of our salt comes from packaged foods and restaurant meals. However, as of 2011 two dozen food manufacturers and restaurant chains have pledged to reduce salt up to 25% by 2014 – but should we take that pledge with “a grain of salt”?
Months later I reached the coast of Belize with the cruise ship Liberty of The Seas. Unfortunately the few hours I could visit the beach were not enough to reach Xanadu and back. Xanadu is located on an island 40 km from the capital, where we landed. Locals whom I asked told me Xanadu is the most amazing resort in Belize. I know of course why this is so. Only a couple of wandering Jews like Judith and Ivan could design such an ultimate resort for rehabilitation and regeneration .
Strategy is the key. Just like you need a good strategy to accomplish your work goals; you need a good strategy for accomplishing your food goals. The first step is to have one and stick to it. Planning ahead will not only helps you survive, you will feel good knowing you are in control of your food – instead of your food controlling you. If you completely blow your eating plan remember to enjoy the celebration then the very next meal plan to eat a big salad loaded with fresh fruit, veggies and nuts to get you moving in the right direction.
